Meet at the parking lot where Hwy. 96 crosses the Gateway State Trail at Duluth Junction. Bring binoculars if you have them. You'll identify bird species using sight and sound. Contact or call 651-439-3583 with questions. More info:

Lowry Nature Center

Women's archery

Elm Creek Park Reserve

10 a.m.-noon Sunday

Learn from instructors the basics of shooting safely and accurately. Shoot at stationary targets and from an elevated platform. Equipment provided. Cost is $7 and reservations are required. Whitewater State Park
