As yet another day of rain approaches, I am longing to sit on my new deck with an ice cold beverage and enjoy the view. Stacy and I have spent the past couple of weeks talking about outside projects and products to fit into our new spaces.

Although we have a nice collection of Michael Graves furniture for our lower patio (Stacy bought it at Target a few years ago), our upper deck is devoid of any seating.

The elevated view gives the deck the feel of a rooftop patio at some cool summer hot spot. On the deck, I envision low, simple, yet comfortable furniture made for groups to gather and socialize. The only problem? That style of furniture typically is found in design magazines such as Metropolis and has price tags that are a shock to my system.

So Stacy did the research and found some nice modern furniture that meets our goal of a little summertime retreat without breaking the bank.
