NEW PRODUCTSMedtronic Inc., Fridley, said Wednesday that it got the CE Mark for Ensura MRI SureScan pacing system. Ensura MRI, the company's new option in the second-generation pacing system, is available in parts of Europe in a portfolio of devices from Medtronic designed for use with MRI machines. Patients with the SureScan pacing system will have access to full body scans, without positioning restrictions in the MRI scanner. The system is not now approved for sale in the United States.

American Medical Systems Holdings, Minnetonka, said that the Food and Drug Administration cleared its MoXy Liquid Cooled Fiber, designed for use with the GreenLight Xcelerated Performance System in the treatment of enlarged prostate.

NEW BUSINESSAngeion Corp., St. Paul, was awarded a three-year contract with Amerinet, a national health care group purchasing organization, for its MedGraphics cardiorespiratory diagnostic systems. The systems diagnose and monitor therapy in disorders such as congestive heart failure, asthma and other forms of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
