NEW BUSINESS Cat Auction Services, Shakopee, will hold two unreserved public auctions featuring construction equipment from a number of manufacturers in the Twin Cities area on May 5 and 6. The first will begin at 9 a.m. May 5 at the former site of Arcon Construction in Harris, Minn. The second auction will start at 9 a.m. May 6 at the Glenn Rehbein Excavating Inc. site in Blaine.
Muve Inc. has been awarded an $835,000 research grant by the U.S. Health and Human Services Department as part of the Small Business Technology Transfer program. The grant will focus on validating Muve's Gruve device, an electronic software platform that measures a range of physical activities in humans.
Fair Isaac Corp. (FICO), Minneapolis, and Emdeon Inc., a Nashville-based provider of health care revenue and payment cycle management products, have reached a commercial agreement under which Emdeon will incorporate FICOInsurance Fraud Manager into its health care revenue and payment cycle transaction processing network in order to offer enhanced fraud prevention to the 1,200 payers now using Emdeon. FICO also has reached an agreement with China UnionPay Data Services to offer the industry-standard credit account and customer management product to banks across China.
PERSONNEL Medtronic Inc., Fridley, has named Caroline Stockdale as senior vice president of human resources effective April 30. She will be responsible for the medical technology company's human resources -- it has more than 40,000 employees in 20 countries -- and will serve on Medtronic's executive committee. Stockdale has previously served as a senior human resources executive at corporations including Warner Music Group, American Express Financial Advisors (now Ameriprise), and GE Capital Corp. Most recently, she was vice president of revenue cycle operations for Accretive Health.
