MERGERS AND ACQUISITIONS Alliant Techsystems, Eden Prairie, has acquired Eagle Industries, Fenton, Mo., expanding its position in the domestic and international tactical accessories markets serving military and law enforcement customers. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed. The company expects the acquisition to add more than $80 million to fiscal year 2010 revenue. Eagle Industries will become part of ATK's Armament Systems group.
Spectrum Solutions, Bloomington, concluded its asset acquisition of Collins Communications, Roseville, a provider of converged voice and data technologies.
NEW PRODUCTS Medtronic Inc., Fridley, has begun the international launch of the Driver Sprint RX Coronary Stent System, which received the CE Mark in February and is planned to be commercially available in more than 100 countries.
DEBT AND EQUITIES Granite City Food & Brewery Ltd., Minneapolis, has entered into a loan agreement with a group of accredited investors to provide $1 million of partially convertible debt financing. The loan is evidenced by notes bearing interest at 9 percent per year, payable in six equal monthly installments commencing on May 1, 2010, and due in full on Oct. 1, 2010.
