MERGERS & ACQUISITIONS AEI Fund Management Inc., St. Paul, has purchased a Tractor Supply store property in Tupelo, Miss. AEI commercial net leased real estate investment funds have more than $32 million allocated to Tractor Supply-occupied long-term net leased properties.

Wits Basin Precious Minerals Inc., Minneapolis, said that China Global Mining Resources (BVI), its 50-50 joint venture company with London Mining Plc, has completed acquisition of Maanshan Xiaonanshan Mining Co. and Nanjing Sudan Mining Co., which own an iron ore mine and concentrator plant in China's Anhui and Jiangsu provinces. China Global Mining has taken operational control of the assets and plans to begin an extensive program immediately to delineate further resources, improve productivity and reduce costs.

NEW BUSINESS Alliant Techsystems, Edina, has received multiple contract awards from the ManTech Program office of U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, to continue development of manufacturing process improvements for ceramic matrix composite components (CMCs). CMCs withstand extreme temperatures of engine exhaust better than existing materials and can last up to three times longer, extending the time between engine overhauls, which significantly reduces aircraft maintenance costs.

Digital River Inc., Eden Prairie, has signed a joint marketing agreement with Playxpert, a provider of next-generation, in-game community management tools for PC gamers. Digital River will offer game publishers, resellers and studios a way to engage players of PC-based games in a branded in-game experience that integrates e-commerce with their online communities.
