MERGERS AND ACQUISITIONS 3M Co., Maplewood, acquired Abrasivos S.A., a maker of coated abrasives in Peru. Terms were not disclosed.

NEW PRODUCTS Ev3 Inc., Plymouth, has Food and Drug Administration clearance to market its Evercross and NanoCross peripheral angioplasty balloon catheters. The company will begin selling the products in the United States next month.

NEW BUSINESS Juhl Wind Inc., Woodstock, Minn., has agreed with Winona County to design and build a 2-megawatt wind system near Altura, Minn. The project will cost about $3.6 million and is planned to be completed by the end of the second quarter 2009.

DEBT AND EQUITIES U.S. Bancorp, Minneapolis, declared a quarterly dividend of 42.5 cents per common share, payable Jan. 15 to shareholders of record on Dec. 31.
