MERGERS AND ACQUISITIONS Medtronic Inc., Fridley, completed its acquisition of Restore Medical Inc. Under terms announced April 22, Restore shareholders will receive $1.60 per share in cash for each share of Restore common stock. The total value of the transaction, including payment of Restore debt, is about $29 million.

NEW BUSINESS 3M Co., Maplewood, announced that its 3M Health Care division and Greystone Pharmaceuticals Inc. have an exclusive, worldwide license agreement for wound-care products using Greystone's patented PHI technology.

NEW PRODUCTS Dairyland Healthcare Solutions, Glenwood, Minn., announced that its Clinical Information Systems Version 9.0.0 was certified by the Certification Commission for Healthcare Information Technology. Certification means it meets the commission's inpatient electronic health record criteria for 2007.

MakeMusic Inc., Eden Prairie, announced it has begun shipping Finale 2009. The latest version of the music-notation software includes time-saving features designed to make users' workflow more efficient and intuitive.
