DEBT AND EQUITIES Hutchinson Technology Inc., Hutchinson, has agreed to sell $12.2 million of 10.875% senior secured second-lien notes due in 2017 to Goldman Sachs Liberty Harbor Capital.

Kips Bay Medical Inc., Plymouth, announced the closing of the underwriters' purchase from the company of 475,000 shares of Kips Bay common stock at a price of $0.65 per share. The over-allotment option was granted to the underwriters in connection with the company's follow-on offering of common stock, which closed Dec. 28.

NEW PRODUCTS Nilfisk-Advance Group, Plymouth, has introduced a fuel cell-powered industrial combination sweeper-scrubber. The Advance CS7000 Combination Sweeper-Scrubber Fuel Cell unit was unveiled by Nilfisk-Advance at an industry trade show in Chicago.

Conventus Orthopaedics, Maple Grove, a privately held company, has received 510(k) clearance to market its Conventus DRS Implant for the treatment of distal radius fractures within the United States. The device provides surgeons options in treating fractures in the wrist and lower arm.

PERSONNEL H.B. Fuller Co., St. Paul, announced that director Juliana Chugg has resigned from the board of directors. The company says the resignation is not the result of any disagreement with the company.
