PERSONNEL MOVES Twin Cities RISE! has hired Art Berman as chief executive officer. Berman is a 22-year veteran of Ameriprise Financial, most recently serving as vice president and treasurer. He spent the last year as a consultant to several nonprofits and businesses. RISE is a business-supported training agency that works with underemployed inner-city adults and prison inmates to increase workplace and personal skills and achieve living-wage, sustained employment. Businesses pay RISE a fee over time as employees are retained.
