MERGERS AND ACQUISITIONS Tennant Co., Golden Valley, completed its acquisition of Applied Sweepers, maker of the Green Machines brand cleaning equipment. The Feb. 15 purchase agreement valued the deal at approximately $68 million.

Wind Energy America Inc., Eden Prairie, completed an acquisition of wind energy assets from Boreal Energy Inc. in a tax-free exchange for Wind Energy common stock. Wind Energy will exchange 28,500,000 unregistered common shares for the Boreal assets.

NEW BUSINESS Vallon Holdings, Minneapolis, launched Vallon LifeScience, a professional services subsidiary providing interim and contract resources to Minneapolis-St. Paul life-science companies.

PERFORMANCE Polaris Industries Inc., Medina, is increasing its previously issued guidance for sales and earnings per share from continuing operations for first-quarter 2008. Earnings are now expected to be in the range of 44 to 49 cents per diluted share, an increase of 5 cents from the previously issued guidance. This compares with 34 cents per share in first-quarter 2007. Sales are now expected to increase 15 to 18 percent for first-quarter 2008 over first-quarter 2007 sales of $317.7 million.

DEBT AND EQUITIES PepsiAmericas Inc., Minneapolis, approved a quarterly dividend of 13.5 cents per share, payable April 1 to shareholders of record March 14.
