MERGERS AND ACQUISITIONSRegency Centers, a Jacksonville-based owner, operator and developer of grocery-anchored and community shopping centers, closed on the acquisition of Rockridge Center, a shopping center anchored by Cub Foods at Rockford Rd. and Nathan Lane in Plymouth. The property was purchased in an off-market transaction Aug. 8 for $20.5 million from private real estate development company Hempel Properties.
Norwest Equity Partners, Minneapolis, said that its portfolio company, PeopleNet, a provider of industry-leading, innovative mobile communications systems to the trucking industry, has been sold to Trimble Navigation Ltd. Terms were not disclosed.
