MERGERS AND ACQUISITIONSNorth Memorial Health Care, Robbinsdale, has agreed to sell its 50 percent share in WestHealth to Allina Hospitals & Clinics, Minneapolis. North Memorial and Allina now each own half of WestHealth, a Plymouth-based outpatient medical center that was founded in 1992 as a partnership between Abbott Northwestern Hospital and North Memorial. It includes more than 50 primary care and specialty physician offices and outpatient clinics, as well as a same-day surgery center, urgent care, laboratory and imaging services.
NEW BUSINESSAppliance Recycling Centers of America Inc. (ARCA), St. Louis Park, will provide recycling services for the Triad's Conserve & Save Refrigerator and Freezer Recycling Program in southern Minnesota. Customers of the Triad's three southern Minnesota utilities -- Austin Utilities, Owatonna Public Utilities and Rochester Public Utilities -- who turn in operating but energy-inefficient secondary refrigerators and freezers will be eligible for a $35 incentive check for each qualifying appliance, with a maximum of two units per year. ARCA will pick up the qualifying refrigerators and freezers and recycle the units.
Alliant Techsystems Inc., Eden Prairie, has received an $80 million order from General Dynamics Armament and Technical Products for production of MK90 propellant grain, which is used to propel the MK66 rocket motor.
DEBT AND EQUITIESTennant Co., Minneapolis, declared a regular quarterly cash dividend of 17 cents per share, payable June 15 to shareholders of record on May 31.
