DEBT AND EQUITIES Digital Telecommunications Inc., Winona, Minn., filed a request with the Minnesota Public Utilities Commission to discontinue its telephone and communication services to its customers. The commission has given the company until Jan. 31 to help customers transfer services to a new carrier. DTI will discontinue all service on Jan. 31. DTI customers are in southeastern Minnesota and Iowa. To find a new carrier, customers can visit the Minnesota Department of Commerce's website at www.commerce.state.mn.us and select Find Telephone Companies in the left-hand column under Online Services.
Appliance Recycling Centers of America, St. Louis Park, has entered into two new credit agreements. The company opened a $15 million revolving line of credit and a $2.55 million term loan. The new credit agreements replace the company's current working capital line of credit and a term loan on its Compton, Calif., recycling facility.
U.S. Bancorp, Minneapolis, announced that it has sold $676.4 million of remarketed junior subordinated notes. The notes were initially issued at 5.539 percent interest -- they have been remarketed at 3.442 percent and the stated maturity shortened to Feb. 1, 2016.
DIVIDENDS Hawkins Inc., Minneapolis, declared a semiannual cash dividend of 30 cents per share payable April 8, to shareholders of record on March 25.
NEW BUSINESS Life Time Fitness Inc., Chanhassen, announced a partnership with AEG to develop and grow the Leadville 100 in Colorado, one of the most important mountain bike races in North America. AEG is a subsidiary of the Anschutz Co., which owns or controls sporting facilities including the Staples Center and Home Depot Center in Los Angeles and Sprint Center in Kansas City, Mo., among others, and sports franchises including the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League and two Major League Soccer teams.
3M Co., Maplewood, unveiled a new innovation center in Dubai, United Arab Emerates. The center in Dubai will bring 3M technologies closer to its customers in the Middle East.
NEW PRODUCTS 3M Co., Maplewood, announced that its 3M Security Systems business has introduced Caripass, a border crossing security system for 10 Caribbean nations. Caripass is a voluntary travel card program that provides secure and simple border crossings for citizens and legal residents.
