INNOVATIONAmerican Medical Systems, Minnetonka, a provider of devices and therapies for male and female pelvic health, was named a recipient of the 2010 Tekne Award in the Established Company Life Sciences Award category. The Tekne Life Sciences Award recognizes companies leading innovation in medical devices, diagnostics or equipment, agriculture, food science and pharmaceuticals. The Minnesota High Tech Association, in partnership with LifeScience Alley, Enterprise Minnesota and the BioBusiness Alliance of Minnesota, presented the Tekne Awards at an awards ceremony Wednesday in Minneapolis.
