Piper Jaffray Cos., Minneapolis, has named Stuart Harvey Jr. as its president and chief operating officer.
Harvey was managing director of Piper's investment banking department from 1993 to 2003 before leaving to become the top executive at Ceridian Corp. and later Comdata Inc.
He returned to Piper Jaffray in August 2015 as a partner and managing director of the merchant banking group.
The appointment is effective Nov. 7. Harvey will report to Piper Jaffray's chairman and CEO Andrew Duff.
New CFO for Enteromedics
Enteromedics Inc., St. Paul, announced that Scott Youngstrom has succeeded Greg Lea as its chief financial officer effective Oct. 3. Youngstrom was most recently CFO/vice president of finance at Arden Hills-based Galil Medical Inc. before it was acquired by London-based BTG PLC in June.
