Mocon and Ametek complete merger
Mocon Inc., Brooklyn Park and Ametek Inc., Berwyn, Pa. have closed on the deal they announced in April.
Ametek paid $30 per share, or $182 million, for the maker of packaging and materials testing instrumentation. Mocon will become part of Ametek's process and analytical instruments division within its electronic instruments group.
The common stock for Mocon (MOCO) will no longer be listed.

General Mills board member to retire
General Mills Inc., Golden Valley, announced that their longest serving board member Dorothy Terrell informed the company she will not stand for re-election at the company's next annual meeting and resign from the board when her term expires. Terrell has been on the board since 1994 most recently on the board's corporate governance and public responsibility committees.
MAC names planning and development VP
The Metropolitan Airports Commission, Minneapolis-St. Paul, has promoted Bridget Rief to vice president planning and development. Rief, a 20-year veteran of MAC, replaces Gary Warren, who retires June 30.
Rief will oversee capital improvement projects at MAC's seven airports.
