Don't let the final score fool you: this one was never really in doubt. Minnesota Transitions, with size advantages all over the court, was in control from the start in defeating Rushford-Peterson 56-49. Transitions led by as much as 18 in the second half and usually by about 12 to 15 before a late run by R-P against Transitions' reserves accounted for the final margin. Transitions was led by Rodney Owens, who had 18 points; Kevin Noreen added 17 points, 11 rebounds and five blocks. R-P's Nick Thompson had a fabulous game from the perimeter, leading all scorers with 20 points on 6 of 8 shooting from beyond the arc. R-P was 11 for 21 as a team from long distance, helping the Trojans hang around.
