Salary: $911,346

Nonequity incentive pay: $1,197,099

Other compensation: $242,713

Value realized on vesting shares: $181,350

Note: Mansfield's total compensation increased 25 percent over last year and his base salary increased 7.2 percent. Bonuses were higher in 2008 than 2007 but were less than the maximum. Executive officers reached about 29 percent of their incentive bonus targets. Although the stock was down 16 percent during the fiscal year, sales increased 7.2 percent to $3.5 billion, while net income slipped 12.4 percent to $150.8 million. Excluding after-tax restructuring charges of $15.7 million, net income was 2.9 percent higher than the entry point for fiscal 2008 performance goals.

Note: Switz's base salary increased 4.5 percent last year, lowest amongst ADC's top executives, but his incentive pay was down 24.1 percent, which contributed to Switz's overall compensation falling 4.2 percent. ADC's incentive plan is based primarily on sales and operating income. Sales at ADC were up 10.9 percent to $1.5 billion, but operating income was down 9.1 percent to $61.7 million. Top executives hit about 91 percent of the performance goals.
