Wayne Fortun, president, CEO Total compensation: $640,130 for the year ended Sept. 30, 2010

Salary: $588,465

Other compensation: $51,665

New stock options: 100,000

Total return to shareholders 2010: -51.1 percent

Note: The company did not meet its earnings before taxes goal for 2010 and as a result executives didn't earn annual incentives. Recognizing the tough industry and economic challenges, the compensation committee had adjusted the annual incentive targets for 2010 downward, but the company did not achieve its goal of positive earnings before taxes.

Executives got a salary increase in the first quarter of fiscal 2010. But base salaries were reduced 5 percent in fiscal 2008 and 5 percent in fiscal 2009. Fortun's base salary of $588,465 is still down from the $613,000 level of two years ago.

Hutchinson's annual revenues were $347.2 million, down 14.9 percent from the previous year.
