Note: Ronning took home $4 million more in 2010, in part because he exercised $2.8 million worth of options during the year after no option exercises in 2009. Ronning also got a boost from restricted shares that vested during the year -- $1.3 million compared with $149,500 the year before.

Digital River's core revenue, excluding the sales of former customer Symantec Corp., rose 17 percent during the year as the company offset the loss of Symantec, which had accounted for about 30 percent of sales. Executives hit 86 percent of annual incentive targets and 91 percent of long-term incentive targets.
