KANSAS CITY - The Twins put reliever Caleb Thielbar on the 10-day injured list after he suffered a groin strain in Wednesday night's loss in Baltimore.

Thielbar suffered a groin strain in Wednesday's loss in Baltimore.
Righthander Shaun Anderson was recalled from Class AAA St. Paul and will join the team for tonight's game (7:10 p.m., BSN) against the Royals at Kauffman Stadium.
In 21 innings, Thielbar has a 4.29 ERA with 31 strikeouts. Anderson will be on his third tour of duty with the Twins. He's given up five earned runs in five innings with six strikeouts. He also spent time on the IL because of a quad strain.
J.A Happ (3-2, 5.24 ERA) pitches for the Twins tonight against Kris Bubic (1-0, 1.52).
Injuries have the Twins pondering their options for infielder Nick Gordon, who could see action in the outfield.
The Royals have won 11 of 17 to move above .500 in the AL Central.
The Twins have 10 players on injured lists. Thielbar, Byron Buxton (hip), Devin Smeltzer (elbow), Kenta Maeda (groin), Luis Arraez (shoulder), Max Kepler (hamstring) and Mitch Garver (groin) are on the 10-day IL; Rob Refsnyder (concussion protocol) is on the seven-day; and Edwar Colina (elbow) and Jake Cave (back) are on the 60-day.
