Odyssey Resorts, Duluth, named Chuck Paton president and chief operating officer. Paton was general manager at Larsmont Cottages in Two Harbors and a general manager at the St. Paul Hotel and Hotel Ivy, Minneapolis.

Venture Mortgage, Edina, named Kip Dunkelberger president and chief executive. Dunkelberger joined the company in 2010 as vice president of operations and held leadership positions at Welsh Cos. and Commercial Mortgage Advisors in Wayzata.

Family Housing Fund, Minneapolis, named Ellen Sahli president. Sahli was chief housing officer at the Chicago Housing Authority and worked for the University of Chicago Office of Civic Engagement.

PR Caffeine, Burnsville, named Bonnie Rae Backer director of administration. Backer was an executive assistant and worked for Hosanna! and Rosemount Office Systems.

Logic PD, Minneapolis, named Shawn Oreschnick director of analytics and research services. Oreschnick was quantitative lead at Smith-Dahmer Associates and worked for GfK Custom Research, Capella University, Colle+McVoy and Periscope.

Minnesota Shopping Center Association (MSCA), Bloomington, gave Stefanie Meyer and Karla Keller Torp Hall of Fame Awards. Meyer is a principal/senior vice president for Mid-America Real Estate and worked for NorthMarq. Keller Torp is the executive director of MSCA.

Financial Planning Association of Minnesota, Columbia Heights, gave Julieann Schroeder the Distinguished Service Award for 2015. Schroeder is an adviser for USAdvisors Network and a former president of the Greater Wayzata Area Chamber of Commerce.

The Minnesota Chapter of the American Public Works Association gave Director of the Year to Steve Stadler from Hopkins, Supervisor of the Year to Kevin Chmielewski from Shoreview, Superintendent of the Year to Jim Eiler from Bloomington and Maintenance Worker of the Year to Greg Boche from Woodbury.

Periscope, Minneapolis, named Mark Lacek and Edward Scanlon to the board. Lacek is on the boards of Broadway Theaters of New York, m.Paani in Mumbai and the Minneapolis Institute of Arts. Scanlon held multiple leadership positions at Black & Decker including president of the Home Depot division.
