Collegis Education named Vin Riera chief executive and a member of the board. Riera was president and chief executive of Edmentum and held leadership positions at Gateway and Equant.

Versifit Technologies named Lisa Barnett chief executive. Barnett is chief executive for Atomic Learning in Little Falls, Minn., which recently acquired Versifit.

The Opus Group, Minnetonka, named Peter Conlon senior director of capital markets for Opus Development Co. Conlon was group manager of corporate real estate at Target Corp. and worked for Buchanan Street Partners and Cassidy Turley.

Scannell Properties named Tom Driscoll director of project management for the Medina office. Driscoll was partner and vice president of business development at Big-D Construction and worked for Kone. He serves on the University of Wisconsin-Stout's construction board advisory group.

HGA Architects and Engineers, Minneapolis, named Roxanne Cortinas mechanical project engineer and commissioning coordinator in the Minneapolis office. Cortinas was an onsite project manager for Harris Cos.

Kutak Rock named Niall MacLeod and Aaron Myers senior litigation counsel for the Minneapolis office. MacLeod and Myers were partners at Barnes & Thornburg and Myers Boebel MacLeod and both focused on intellectual property and litigation practices.

BMO Private Bank named Kevin Fairs managing director for Minnesota and Northern Wisconsin. Fairs was head of Royal Bank of Canada's U.S. and international private banking team and held leadership positions at Lloyd's TSB and Santander Bank in the U.K. He is on the board for the Ontario Arts Foundation and the Belinda Stronach Foundation.

Colle+McVoy, Minneapolis, named John Doyle executive director of brand experience. Doyle was senior vice president/managing director at LiquidThread USA and held leadership positions at Starcom MediaVest Group and Cramer Krasselt.

Solve, Minneapolis, named Nick Smasal design director. Smasal was an associate design director at Olson and worked for Fame and Bamboo.

Destination Medical Center (DMC), Rochester, named Mitch Abeln finance director. Abeln was a consultant with WG Consulting in Houston. DMC also named Mary Welder communications and community relations director. Welder was an executive communications adviser for IBM.
