Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group, Minnetonka, named Roger Chacko executive vice president and chief branding and marketing officer. Chacko joined the company in 2014 and held leadership positions for Bloomin' Brands, United Services Automobile Association, Kimberly-Clark, Mars, Danone, ConAgra and Kellogg's.

Alerus Mortgage, Minnetonka, named Jan Fitzer president. Fitzer was the managing director and joined the company in 2010 when Alerus purchased Residential Mortgage Group.

Patterson Thuente IP, Minneapolis, named Jumi Kassim an associate. Kassim joined the firm in 2012 in the law clerk advancement and mentoring program. She was a software and systems engineer for Boston Scientific and a graduate of the William Mitchell College of Law.

American Time, Dassel, Minn., named George Wilkes president. Wilkes was executive vice president of operations at Bang Printing in Brainerd and held leadership positions at Quebecor World/Quad Graphics. He served on the United Way of Central Minnesota's board and is a graduate of St. Cloud State University.

Marketplace Home Mortgage, Edina, named Elly Cummings chief operating officer. Cummings was president of Gradient Home Mortgage.

ESP IT, Minneapolis, named James Brown chief operating officer. Brown was a vice president and managing director for Analysts International Corp. ESP IT also named Kelli Moretter-Bue controller.

Ispiri, Woodbury, named Ami Johannson primary landscape designer, project manager and landscape division manager. Johannson worked for Bachman's and Minnesota Seasons. Ispiri also named Mary Ellen Gardiner lead interior designer. Gardiner served on the board for the American Society of Interior Designers as membership director and created her own design business.

The American Council of Engineering Companies of Minnesota, Minnetonka, gave Gene Sieve the President's Award. Sieve is the office manager and founder of Burns & McDonnell's Minneapolis-St. Paul office.

Carlson, Minnetonka, named Laura Born and Sam Gilliland to the board. Born serves on the board for Columbia Acorn Trust and Wanger Advisors Trust. She is an associate adjunct professor of finance at the University of Chicago's Booth School of Business. Gilliland is an executive partner with Siris Capital Group and served as chairman and chief executive of Sabre.
