PRESEASON METRO AREA DREAM TEAM

Grant Besse, sr., F, Benilde-St. Margaret's

Scored 52 goals last season, the final five coming in a historic state championship game performance. Wisconsin recruit is fully healthy after a cracked tibia forced him to miss the fall Elite League.

Max Coatta, sr., F, Minnetonka

Measures only 5-10, 185 pounds but earns "Moose" nickname with fearless play in front of the net. Finished with 23 goals last season. Skippers' leader in fourth year of varsity action.

Connor Hurley, jr., F, Edina

Dynamic player logged 13 games with the U.S. National Team Development Program this fall. Good size, vision and shot resulted in 26 goals last season.

Teemu Kivihalme, jr., D, Burnsville

Strong puckhandler who can go to a second gear when skating. Contributed nine goals and 22 assists as a sophomore. Committed to Colorado College.

Matt Nelson, sr., D, Edina

Princeton recruit brings a steady presence to the blue line. Physical, smart player who scored two goals in Edina's first game after finishing with three goals last season.

Chase Perry, jr., G, Andover

A big (6-3, 170 pounds), athletic goaltender who tracks the puck well and challenges shooters. Went 18-7-2 last season with a 2.80 goals-against average and a .920 save percentage.
