This year is far from over, but next year -- with its significant conference changes -- is already on the horizon.
The Big Ten released the basketball matchups for 2015 today, including the two newcomers to the now 14-team conference in Maryland and Rutgers.
In the new configuration, each program will play five teams in a home-and-home series with four additional single-play opponents at home and four others on the road.
The Minnesota schedule breaks down this way:
Home-and-away: Iowa, Nebraska, Penn State, Purdue, Wisconsin
Home only: Illinois, Northwestern, Ohio State, Rutgers
Away only: Indiana, Maryland, Michigan, Michigan State
