Authorities identify man who died after falling in front of light-rail train in Minneapolis

The incident occurred at the Stadium Village station over the weekend.

Authorities on Wednesday identified the man who fell from a light-rail platform over the weekend in Minneapolis and was fatally struck by a train.

Charles Donald, 68, of Minneapolis, was struck by the slow-moving westbound train at the Stadium Village station about 1:20 a.m. Saturday, according to the Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office. Donald died at the scene.

Transit police continue to investigate the incident.
