Authorities on Sunday identified the pedestrian who was struck and killed in Brooklyn Park on Friday.
William Joseph Bartolameolli Todd, 21, died of blunt force injuries, according to the Hennepin County Medical Examiner's office. First responders were called to N. 85th Avenue at Stratford Crossing at 10:24 p.m. Friday after a report that a person had been hit by a vehicle. Officers and medics attempted lifesaving measures, but the victim died at the scene.
Police said the driver of the vehicle that struck Todd remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities.
Brooklyn Park police are investigating.
