A look at four local players who left high school in recent years to play at a prep school:

Rashad Vaughn Cooper, 2013

• Left after his junior season, played at Findlay Prep, Las Vegas, then one season at UNLV.

• Drafted 17th overall by Milwaukee Bucks in 2015 NBA draft, also spent time with Brooklyn, New Orleans and Orlando.

• Currently playing for Delaware in the NBA G League.

Gary Trent Jr. Apple Valley, 2016

• Left after his junior season, enrolled at Findlay Prep, then transferred to Prolific Prep in California. Played one season at Duke.

• Drafted 37th overall by Sacramento in 2018 NBA draft, then traded to Portland.

• Currently on the Portland roster.

Blaise Beauchamp Hopkins, 2018

• Left after his sophomore season, currently averaging 16 ppg at Findlay Prep.

Terry Lockett Minnehaha Academy, 2018

• Left after sophomore season, averaging 12.3 ppg for Spire Institute (Geneva, Ohio).
