Eden Prairie-based Ascentis expands through Ohio acquisition.

December 20, 2018 at 3:43PM

Ascentis, a several-industry placement business, said the Eden Prairie firm has acquired Cincinnati Time Systems, adding 13 employees and bringing total employment to about 400 nationally.

This acquisition along with Ascentis' recent acquisition of California-based, Novatime, "serves to not only strengthen Ascentis' expertise in health care, facility services, staffing and manufacturing industries, but also further accelerates the growth of the company and its workforce management direct client base initiatives," the firm said.

Ascentis is owned by Boston-based private equity firm Summit Partners. It declined to quantify its performance.

Ascentis CEO Brian Provost, with more than 20 years in leadership of software-as-a-service companies, was CEO of Convey Compliance, a tax-information reporting firm that was acquired by Vista Equity Partners in July 2014.

Prior to Convey, Provost led the former Gelco Expense Management.
