NEW BUSINESS Angeion Corp., St. Paul, has been awarded a three-year contract with Broadlane, an cost-management partner for health care providers. The agreement, effective July 1, will offer Broadlane members and partners access to Angeion's MedGraphics systems that diagnose and monitor therapy in heart and lung disorders.

Capella Education Corp., Minneapolis, said its online Capella University has entered into an academic partnership with Joliet Junior College in Joliet, Ill.

PERSONNEL Hutchinson Technology Inc., Hutchinson, Minn., has elected Martha Goldberg Aronson to its board of directors. Goldberg Aronson most recently served as a senior vice president and corporate officer for Medtronic Inc., Fridley.

DEBT AND EQUITIES Anulex Technologies Inc., St. Paul, a privately held medical device manufacturer focusing on soft tissue preservation and repair products, announced the first closing of its fifth round of private equity financing which will total a minimum of $20 million.
