PFSweb Inc., Allen, Texas, closed on its $2.6 million acquisition of REV Solutions, Eden Prairie. REV is an e-commerce system integrator; publicly held PFSweb provides e-commerce software.

Defined Contribution Advisors Inc., Minneapolis, an institutional investment advisory firm, announced an agreement to merge with Captrust Financial Advisors., Raleigh, N.C. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. The transaction is expected to close by the end of September.

NEW PRODUCTS

Smiths Medical, Arden Hills, announced the addition of its Edge Safety Device technology to both its Portex Pro-Vent and Portex Pulsator Arterial Blood Sampling syringes in the European Union. The Edge Safety Device provides a fully integrated method to protect clinicians, patients and hospital workers from accidental needle-stick injuries.
