U.S. Bank opens branch in Shakopee

May 3, 2013 at 4:39PM

U.S. Bancorp will open its first branch in Shakopee next month. The branch is in the Southbridge area near the intersection of County Road 21 and County Road 18. It's the Minneapolis-based lender's 97th retail spot in the Twin Cities and the first new branch it's opened in the Twin Cities since one in Ramsey in 2010.

"It really was a gap in the market we wanted to fill," said Christine Hobrough, U.S. Bank's Twin Cities metropolitan region manager.

The branch will employ nine people drawn from other parts of U.S. Bank, Hobrough said.
