Bridal bargains David's Bridal (Maple Grove, Richfield, Roseville, Woodbury, www.davidsbridal.com) will be discounting everything in the store Friday through June 20. It's the first time David's has had a storewide sale. Wedding gowns that were $300 to $1,200 will be $50 (about 60 per store), special occasion/party dresses will be $30 and $50, shoes $20 and headpieces and veils an additional 50 percent off.

Plants 50 percent off A friend and I argue about how good the deals are when everything at Linder's flower marts is discounted 50 percent. My friend argues that even at half off some items can be found for less at Home Depot. He's not wrong, but Linder's plants are locally grown and the company will replace any perennial for up to two years if you keep the receipt and what's left of the plant. Although Home Depot's selection is expanding, Linder's still carries more unusual varieties.

The 50 percent off sale starts Wednesday and lasts a week or two, depending on the location. Fresh plants are usually brought in daily. For more information call 651-488-1927 or find one of more than 40 locations at www.linders.com/flowermarts/locations.

Haircuts for $9 A second location of Pro-Cuts salon for sports fans is (now open in Dinkytown, 302 15th Av. SE., Mpls., 612-331-0014, www.getaprocut.com). Through June 30 haircuts are $9, regularly $18, for shampoo, cut, blow dry, head and neck massage and hot towel treatment. The salon, where every cutting station is outfitted with a TV, is geared toward men, but women are welcome as long they're not looking for "pink carpet, perfumed hairspray or girlie gossip," according to the website.
