Purpose: Since 1986, the invitation-only Pacesetter program has offered business consulting services and training to high-potential minority entrepreneurs. After they complete the three-year program, their companies can receive continuing advice and technical assistance in management, strategy and business disciplines.

Participants: The 12 companies now in Pacesetter generated $180 million in sales last year and employed more than 420 people. The 55 companies that have completed the program had more than $469 million in sales and employed 2,298 people.
