It looks like Minnesota United FC drew 1-1 with Croatian club NK Istra 1961 down in Casa Grande, Ariz., on Friday.

I say "looks like" because United won't have any official coverage of the match except a highlights video at some point. So, cobbling together sporadic Facebook posts from Istra and some videos from this guy named Jeff on Twitter, this is what I could surmise.

Here was Istra's starting lineup:

Hope you all are up on your Croatian. United's was *insert shrug emoticon that won't show up right on this blog*.

It was 0-0 through the first half. Istra grabbed the first goal in the 64th minute off forward Goran Roce. But trialist midfielder Eugene Starikov again scored for the Loons, equalizing in the 80th minute. Starikov scored in United's 1-1 draw with New England Revolution on Tuesday in the team's first preseason game.

United coach Adrian Heath told me after the Revs game, as far as Starikov finding himself an official position on the roster, it depends on how he stacks up against a pretty stacked midfield already. But, while he was born in the Ukraine and has played in Russia, he is an American.

"He's obviously got talent," Heath said. "What we have to weigh up now with Eugene is, is he going to be better than the four or five players we've brought in? The good thing for him is that he has got an American passport, so he wouldn't be an overseas player, which obviously, at this moment in time, it's a premium for us."

Here's a bit of the teams playing, thanks to Jeff:

Check out Jeff's feed (click tweets and replies if you're on a computer) to see some more videos. I'll attempt to squint and find more shirt numbers.
