In the wake of the Percy Harvin news, it's interesting to note this: In the meantime, the Vikings worked out former Raiders wide receiver Javon Walker Friday, a league source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.

The Vikings have been monitoring other wide receivers, and also have expressed interest in former 49er Brandon Jones.

Walker has been looking for work since Oakland released him in the offseason. The former standout played for the Raiders, Broncos and Packers.

Ryan Longwell ... then Brett Favre ... then Javon Walker?

We're not sure what Walker has left in the tank after being released by Oakland, but it's worth noting that he's only 31 and that his best season -- 2004 with the Packers, when he had almost 1,400 yards receiving and 12 TD grabs -- obviously came with No. 4 chucking him the ball.
