ABRA Auto Body & Glass continued its robust expansion Monday, acquiring two auto-repair companies in Washington state that together have seven locations, officials announced Monday.

Terms were not disclosed.

Brooklyn Park-based ABRA purchased six Barrett's Collision Centers in the Tacoma and Olympia areas. It separately bought GW Auto Rebuild in Edmonds, Wash. Both companies specialize in restoring vehicles that have been in accidents.

The acquisitions are the latest in a series by 31-year-old ABRA, which now has 264 repair locations spanning 20 states.

Between April and September, ABRA bought 15 shops, gaining its first toehold in Ohio in Cincinnati and Dayton, plus expanding in Tennessee, Indiana, Missouri and North Carolina. Now it's focusing on the Washington state area, a region it first entered two years ago.

"Acquiring these repair centers is another opportunity to solidify our presence in the Pacific Northwest and enhance the success we've achieved in the region and across the country," CEO Duane Rouse said. "The accelerated and continued growth is part of the company's aggressive initiative to dramatically increase its national footprint."

One of ABRA's largest hubs is the Twin Cities and Wisconsin, where it sports more than 30 collision repair centers.
