If you're road-tripping or hopping a short flight to Milwaukee for the Gophers men's basketball team's first NCAA tournament game since 2013, chances are you are somewhat familiar with the city.
That said, you probably also have more important things to worry about — clearing your schedule, arranging transportation and oh, yeah, a 3 p.m. tip-off Thursday between the Gophers and Middle Tennessee — than trying to figure out your itinerary outside of time spent at Bradley Center.
With that in mind, here are a few helpful tips for what could be a long, glorious weekend.
• Reader Nick recommends the Points East Pub for wings.
• A few different readers suggest the Lakefront Brewery tour.
• On Milwaukee has a comprehensive guide to sports bars.
• I'd add my own personal recommendation: the SafeHouse. Fun place, with some bartenders who double as magicians.
