A St. Paul man posing as an acting teacher was charged Wednesday for the fourth time on allegations that he molested a girl in a public library.
The latest case against Nicholas C. Barghini, 31, alleges that the incident took place on April 22, 2017 at the Merriam Park Library. The girl was 9 at the time. Barghini was charged in Ramsey County District Court with one count of gross misdemeanor fifth-degree criminal sexual conduct.
The criminal complaint alleged a pattern of behavior similar to the three other cases against Barghini.
"Barghini instructed the girls to lie down on a couch with their shoes and socks off," the complaint said. "He then positioned himself at the end of the couch, played with their feet, and masturbated."
According to Wednesday's complaint: authorities investigating the original cases searched Barghini's home and recovered an external hard drive that contained videos of the April incident.
Barghini was initially charged last summer with two counts of fifth-degree criminal sexual conduct in two separate cases at St. Paul's Riverview Library last June and July. The girls were 8 and 10.
He was charged a third time last November with one count of felony second-degree criminal sexual conduct for a July 15 incident at the Merriam Park Library with a girl who was either 10 or 11 at the time.
Barghini's LinkedIn profile as posted last year said he is the owner of Headcase Films & Fashion. His online résumé said he has volunteered as a youth camp counselor and sports coach.
