Zombies are about to take over Midway Stadium, and we don't mean the lifeless Twins fans who've come out to see the Saints play. The ever-expanding Zombie Pub Crawl will land at the St. Paul ballpark on Oct. 13 for a concert headlined by New York rap vet DMX. That's just one of the many ZPC shows that night, also including death-metal heroes Exodus at the Triple Rock and the Gin Blossoms at the Cabooze, plus an army of local bands all along the West Bank and at Midway.

Unlike last year, when there was a big zombie gig in Lowertown, the event will not have a component in downtown St. Paul – maybe because things will already be way too dead down there if the NHL Lockout is still going on. Midway Stadium makes for a great alternative, though. The ballpark was regularly booked with concerts a decade ago and hosted a pair of well-received radio mini-fests with 93X and KQ92 last summer.

Wristbands for the annual tribute to fake blood and necrophilia are on sale now for $19 at the Zombie Pub Crawl site. Here's a rundown of the biggest gigs in the citywide party:
