Young Wolves are actually older than average

As the Timberwolves prepare for their season opener Wednesday in Los Angeles, the on-court narrative has been an emphasis on all their young players … and the veterans mentoring them.

One item of note, based on a graphic provided by rukkus.com: this year's Timberwolves, with an average age of 27.5 years, are actually slightly older than the NBA league average age of 26.9.

Veterans Kevin Garnett (39), Andre Miller (39) and Tayshaun Prince (35) are enough to offset the four players on the team who aren't even old enough to legally buy a drink in the United States.
