If you read my write-up today, you know that zombies have reached critical mass lately. Helping to prove the point was Wednesday night's So You Think You Can Dance tour stop at a sold-out Target Center. Season 5 Top 10 dancers Kayla Radomski and Jason Glover thrilled with a fun zombie hip-hop number choreographed by Shane Sparks. But the real highlights were two unforgettable moments from the past season of the Fox TV show: a heart-rending piece on addiction (pictured), choreographed by Mia Michaels and danced by Kupono Aweau and Radomski; and an emotionally draining number about fighting breast cancer, choreographed by Tyce Diorio and danced by Ade Obayomi and Melissa Sandvig. The three-hour show was amazing, enlivened by some goofy scripted bits that included a running gag about champion Jeanine Mason and Phillip Chbeeb's kooky Russian folk dance and Aweau's live commercial for the show's fitness DVDs. But the most heartening thing was seeing thousands of people, including loads of teens, packing Target Center for a night of some serious dancing.
