Olympic gold medalist skater Kristi Yamaguchi will meet with fans and autograph advance copies of her new children's book from 10-11:30 a.m. Sunday at the Mara-Mi Store+Studio+Café at 201 Main St. S. in Stillwater.
Her book, "Dream Big, Little Pig," was inspired by her personal motto, "Always dream." It encourages children to dream through the story of Poppy the Pig, who learns she can succeed at anything as long as she believes in herself and has fun doing it.
The official book release is not until Tuesday, but advance copies will be available at Mara-Mi during the event.
A percentage of all book sales during the event will be donated to Yamaguchi's Always Dream Foundation, which raises funds for a variety of children's charities in the San Francisco Bay area.
