THE GIFT OF A GOOD NIGHT'S SLEEP

Zeo Sleep Manager, $149

Created by sleep scientists, the Zeo Sleep Manager is a headband that you wear to bed that tracks and wirelessly sends data about your sleep to your Android or Apple phone ($99) or to a bedside device ($149). You can find out how much time you spend in deep sleep vs. tossing and turning and monitor how things like caffeine and bedtime affect your sleep. Zeo will wake you up when you are in light sleep so you don't feel as groggy. The newest alarm clocks also connect to the Web, making early mornings a bit more pleasant. Tivoli's NetWorks stereo ($500 with FM and $400 without it), which comes in hardwood colors or festive red, plays any radio station worldwide by broadcasting it over the Internet, so you can wake up to Italian opera or Argentine news. It also will wirelessly play its owner's music collection stored on a computer.KEEP COOL WITH FRIDGE MOUNT

iPad Fridge Mount, $40

The iPad, with its recipe apps and cooking videos, has become an irreplaceable sous chef for many home cooks. Mirit Cohen and Nate Keller, experts in cooking and tech, as former executive chefs at Google who run a catering company called Gastronaut, call it "the ultimate kitchen gadget."But there is just one problem: cooks need the iPad upright and near the center of the cooking action, which is exactly where it is most likely to get ruined by a splash of boiling water or a splatter of tomato sauce.

Belkin has a solution that Cohen and Keller would like to give or receive this season: the Fridge Mount for iPad 2 ($40), which also attaches to cabinets or walls. It's easy to mount and remove without leaving residue.NEW YORK TIMES
