Man recovers car 42 years after its theft A man whose sports car was stolen 42 years ago recovered the vehicle after spotting it on eBay. Robert Russell told the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department he had never given up searching for the 1967 Austin Healy after it was stolen from his Philadelphia home in 1970. Russell, who now lives in Texas, recently spotted what he thought was his car on eBay and checked the vehicle identification number on the website with the one on the car's title. They were a match. The car was tracked down in Los Angeles.

NBC, Microsoft complete Web divorce MSNBC.com renamed itself NBCNews.com, signifying the end of a relationship between NBC and Microsoft that dates back to the earliest days of the commercial Web. Early next year, MSNBC.com will be reborn as a stand-alone site for the cable channel MSNBC, ending the brand confusion that has plagued the site in the past. With the changes, "we will fully own our digital businesses," said Steve Capus, the president of NBC News.

Turkey warned over Kurdish oil deal Baghdad warned Turkey that its separate oil deal with Iraq's northern self-ruled Kurdish region could damage trade relations, the latest sign of tension between the neighbors. Iraq's Kurds announced this month that they have started exporting crude oil and gas to Turkey. The goal is to barter it for refined petroleum products to meet domestic demand. "Exporting oil from the Kurdistan region to Turkey is illegal and illegitimate," an Iraqi government spokesman said. "The oil and gas are the property of all Iraqis."

AFGHANISTAN

Bomb hits convoy of Afghan officials A convoy carrying several senior Afghan officials, including a Cabinet minister and a governor, was hit by a bomb in northern Afghanistan, the third time in three days that prominent politicians were targeted. Unlike in the previous two bombings, no one was killed. Two police officers were injured. There have been no claims of responsibility from the Taliban or other insurgent groups. Two men were arrested in Sunday's attack in Baghlan Province, but officials released no details about their possible role.

Boston church prays for abducted pastor While family and church members prayed for the Boston Pentecostal pastor kidnapped with two others, their abductor said he has had conversations with intelligence officials about their release. Jirmy Abu-Mashu said he kidnapped the Rev. Michel Louis, 61, and two others off a bus on a road between Cairo and Mount Sinai on Friday and is demanding police release his uncle. He said his uncle was jailed after refusing to pay a bribe to police.
