Word of the week: Workaversary

August 8, 2017 at 5:24PM

Definition: The anniversary of the day you started your job. (Merriam-Webster online)

Sample usage: "It's my 40th workaversary! I owe it all to my work ethic, my willingness to adapt and my compromising photographs of my managers."

Popularity: It's a cute portmanteau, if a bit contrived. When it's applied to you, make sure the manager doesn't really mean you're "averse to work."
