Word of the week: Willowwacks

March 7, 2017 at 9:20PM

Definition: A wooded and uninhabited place (Merriam-Webster Online).

Sample usage: "The dog park by the river is a nice urban willowwacks — good for a hike, but mind the bogs of pup poop."

Popularity: It's a word from the U.K., so people will like to use it. Any nonsense word from the U.K. makes you feel delightfully eccentric, right? If it doesn't, you're just a bollywoggle.

FILE -- A rent deposit slot at an apartment complex in Tucker, Ga., on July 21, 2020.
