Word of the week: streamnesia

September 13, 2016 at 4:34PM

Definition: The inability to remember what you watched last night.

Sample usage: "I get such bad streamnesia when I have a cold and watch Netflix I have to read recaps on Wikipedia to recall what I stared at for two hours."

Popularity: It's a fine way to explain what we've all experienced — binge-watching so much on TV that our brain refuses to hold any more details. It's a perfect word for anyone who's seen a show in the "Watch It Again" pane and thought: I did?
